More than 58.54 lakh voters in Karnataka have been categorized under the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, and Others) group during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Karnataka, released the latest data confirming this on Friday.
As of June 16, 2026, Karnataka had a total of 5,54,32,314 electors on its electoral rolls. Enumeration forms (EFs) have been printed and distributed to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the state for the revision exercise. The house-to-house enumeration and digitization process, which commenced on June 30, will run until August 8, 2026.
The data reveals that all 5.54 crore enumeration forms have been distributed, with 3,95,79,617 forms, representing 71.40% of the total electorate, already digitized. Among the 58,54,874 electors marked under ASDDO, a significant number were identified as permanently shifted, deceased, enrolled elsewhere, or unavailable during verification.
Officials reported that 34,76,017 electors (6.27%) had permanently shifted from their registered addresses, while 12,17,592 electors (2.20%) were confirmed deceased. Additionally, 3,82,083 electors (0.69%) were found to be enrolled elsewhere, and 7,62,867 voters (1.38%) were labeled untraceable or absent. Another 16,315 electors were categorized under the “Others” group.
The data also indicates that 6,18,924 electors, constituting 1.12% of the total electorate, submitted their enumeration forms online. The Special Intensive Revision exercise aims to ensure the accuracy and integrity of Karnataka’s electoral rolls for upcoming elections by conducting door-to-door verification and digitizing collected forms to update voter records.
Election officials emphasized that the revision process aligns with the Election Commission of India’s guidelines and urged voters to cooperate during verification. With most forms digitized and the exercise nearing completion by the August 8 deadline, election authorities are expected to intensify efforts for a successful revision.
