Padma Shri awardee Khemraj Sundriyal has voiced strong backing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plea for collective public involvement in national welfare amidst the economic repercussions of the Iran-US conflict and escalating crude oil prices. Sundriyal emphasized the importance of citizens embracing sustainable and self-reliant practices to benefit the nation. He acknowledged and lauded the Prime Minister’s message, urging everyone to contribute by adhering to Modi’s recommendations.

Sundriyal, in response to the Prime Minister’s appeal to curb unnecessary fuel usage, advised individuals to reduce their reliance on personal vehicles whenever feasible. By advocating for decreased vehicle usage, he highlighted the potential benefits of lower fuel consumption and reduced road pollution. Additionally, he welcomed the proposal for remote work setups, noting their potential to conserve electricity and resources nationwide.

The Padma Shri recipient underscored the significance of self-sufficiency and the promotion of indigenous goods, urging people to incorporate Swadeshi practices into their daily routines. Sundriyal stressed the importance of adopting environmentally friendly agricultural methods, advocating for the utilization of natural resources like cow dung, compost manure, and leaf-based fertilizers in farming practices. He encouraged farmers to embrace natural and organic farming techniques to foster self-reliance.

Sundriyal concluded by emphasizing that Prime Minister Modi’s directives were geared towards bolstering the nation amidst challenging global conditions and should be heeded in the broader national interest.
