Pakistan’s cricket board has revealed a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match Women’s ODI series against Zimbabwe starting on May 3. Notable inclusions feature Momina Riasat, receiving her first ODI call-up, with all-rounder Fatima Sana leading the team. The squad, a blend of experience and fresh talent, includes players like Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, and Diana Baig.
Zimbabwe’s tour to Pakistan marks their first for a white-ball series, with matches set to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The ODI series is scheduled for May 3, 6, and 9, while the T20Is will follow on May 12, 14, and 15. This series offers vital match practice for both teams ahead of upcoming global commitments. Pakistan currently holds the fifth spot in the ICC Women’s Championship standings, having secured a win against South Africa earlier this year.
The series holds significance as part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–2029 cycle. Following their recent tour to South Africa where they faced 2-1 defeats in both ODI and T20I series, Pakistan aims for improved results under the leadership of Fatima Sana. The squad also includes wicketkeeping options Muneeba Ali and Najiha Alvi, along with bowlers Nashra Sundhu, Rameen Shamim, and Tasmia Rubab.
