Pakistan is expected to make changes to their lineup for the crucial ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match against Namibia following a defeat to India. Captain Salman Agha and head coach Mike Hesson were seen discussing potential alterations during a practice session at the SSC ground. Sources suggest that experienced players Shaheen Shah Afridi and Babar Azam might be dropped from the team.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has been struggling with both fitness and form, notably conceding 101 runs in just nine overs across three matches. Concerns over his fitness were raised as he was observed adjusting his left knee cap during the India match. Meanwhile, Babar Azam, who scored 46 runs against USA, is being considered for a promotion to open the innings instead of batting at number four.

The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly after a significant 61-run loss. Naqvi even contemplated boycotting the match in protest over Bangladesh’s expulsion, which drew criticism from the Indian media. Following the defeat, Naqvi held discussions with Hesson and team manager Naveed Cheema, instructing them to drop underperforming players and urging the team to exhibit a stronger fighting spirit.
