The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a six-match white-ball series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, set to kick off next month. This series is crucial for Pakistan’s preparation leading up to the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. It will be Zimbabwe’s maiden visit to Pakistan for a women’s bilateral series, with all matches taking place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
The tour will start with the ODI leg on May 3, followed by the T20I series beginning on May 12. Zimbabwe is expected to arrive in Karachi on April 29, with practice sessions scheduled for April 30 to May 2. The three ODIs on May 3, 6, and 9 hold significance as they fall under the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle, where Pakistan currently holds the fifth position with two points.
After the series with Zimbabwe, Pakistan will participate in a T20I tri-series in Ireland, involving the hosts and 2016 champions West Indies, from May 28 to June 4. Subsequently, they will head to England for the T20 World Cup, where they are placed in Group 1 alongside India, South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia, and the Netherlands.
