Pakistan is gearing up for the 2027 World Cup by organizing a home tri-series with England and Sri Lanka this year. The tournament will consist of four matches, with each team playing against the others once, culminating in a final showdown between the top two teams.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is focusing on the national team’s preparation, especially after their recent lackluster performances in ICC events. Pakistan’s ODI World Cup journey has been disappointing, with no semifinal appearances since 2011 and early exits in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 editions.
In an effort to boost their performance, the PCB is planning a tri-series in October-November this year with England and Sri Lanka. The England and Wales Cricket Board has already agreed to this arrangement, and the final dates are expected to be confirmed soon.
