Several civilian homes were reportedly burned by Pakistani forces during an operation in the Tump area of Balochistan’s Kech district. The Balochistan Post stated that houses owned by a civilian named Dad Muhammad in the Kohad area of Tump were set on fire during the military operation on Thursday.
This incident was not an isolated case, with previous reports of raids on several of Dad Muhammad’s houses and property damage during earlier operations. Pakistani forces also conducted raids and maintained a presence in the Rodban area of Tump, although details on arrests or casualties were not immediately provided.
In a separate incident, a significant military operation was carried out in Kulanch and the surrounding mountainous regions of Gwadar district. The Balochistan Post, citing sources, reported that a large number of Pakistani forces personnel entered the area in the morning and proceeded towards various mountainous locations.
The violence in Tump occurred shortly after reports emerged of Pakistani forces setting numerous homes on fire during an operation in the Gomazi area. Allegations were made that women, children, and elderly residents faced physical abuse and intimidation. The Baloch Women Forum (BWF) condemned these actions, labeling them as severe violations of human rights and a disturbing trend of collective punishment and militarization of civilian spaces.
The Baloch Students Organisation (BSO)-Azad strongly criticized the military operation, denouncing the demolition of residential houses, threats against families, and looting of valuable assets as acts of terror aimed at intimidating civilians and suppressing resistance against Pakistani authorities. The BSO emphasized that such actions reflected the state’s desperation in the face of the Baloch Liberation Struggle, calling for international organizations to hold Pakistan accountable for its actions in Balochistan.
