Paris FC has named Liam Rosenior, former Chelsea head coach, as the new manager of their men’s first team. Rosenior, aged 41, signed a contract until June 2028 and will start his role on July 9 as the squad returns for pre-season training. He returns to football management following his recent departure from Chelsea in April after a short stint.
Known for his expertise in developing young players and promoting an attacking style of football, Rosenior was chosen by Paris FC to lead the team forward. The club highlighted his experience at the highest level and his reputation for nurturing talent as key reasons for his selection. Paris FC sees Rosenior’s approach as aligned with their future ambitions.
Replacing Antoine Kombouaré, who led Paris FC to Ligue 1 survival and an 11th-place finish last season, Rosenior steps into the managerial role. The club decided to part ways with Kombouaré after discussions, aiming to embark on a new chapter under Rosenior’s leadership. Paris FC’s sporting director Marco Neppe praised Rosenior’s modern coaching style and ability to develop players and the team as a whole.
Rosenior, a former defender with over 440 appearances in the Premier League and Championship, transitioned to coaching in 2020. He previously managed teams like Derby County, Hull City, and Strasbourg before his brief tenure at Chelsea.
