Patna Police made a significant breakthrough in combating organized crime by apprehending Sanjay Singh, the purported head of the Pandav Sena gang, who had been on the run for an extended period. Singh was captured at Patna Junction upon his arrival from Delhi by train, accompanied by his wife and children.
The arrest was executed based on specific intelligence inputs received by the Bihar Special Task Force (STF). A dedicated police team was stationed at Patna Junction after being informed of Singh’s arrival, leading to his detention as he disembarked from the train. The operation was smoothly carried out without any disruptions, and Singh was then taken for questioning to a secure location.
Sanjay Singh’s wife, Pushpa Kumari, released a video post-arrest, expressing worries about her husband’s safety and urging a fair investigation into the circumstances. Identified as a crucial member of the Pandav Sena gang by Bihta SHO Amit Kumar, Singh faces over two dozen criminal cases, including charges of murder, extortion, and robbery across various police stations in Bihar.
Described as a significant development in the fight against organized crime, Singh’s arrest has prompted authorities to delve into the gang’s network, potential accomplices during his fugitive period, other gang affiliates, and his alleged roles in recent criminal activities. The outcome of the interrogation will guide further actions, including potential operations against individuals associated with the purported criminal network.
