The Patna Police, in collaboration with the District Intelligence Unit (DIU), achieved a significant breakthrough in the Aman Shukla murder case that had shocked the state capital. Three criminals were apprehended, and it was revealed that a contract of Rs 5 lakh was assigned for the crime.
The murder took place in broad daylight on January 5 in the Patrakar Nagar police station area, causing alarm and raising law-and-order concerns. A special investigation team, comprising Patna Police and DIU’s technical unit, was formed following the incident. Utilizing scientific evidence, technical surveillance, and intelligence inputs, the team successfully located and arrested the suspects.
During the operation, the police seized a cache of illegal arms, including three firearms, a substantial amount of live cartridges, and magazines. The arrested individuals disclosed that the attack was carried out on a contract worth Rs 5 lakh. Sonu alias Kallu, the main conspirator, orchestrated the crime due to a dispute over criminal dominance and his exclusion from an illicit operation.
The arrested suspects, identified as Dharmendra Kumar, Sujit Kumar, and Jitendra Kumar, were involved in the crime. Aman Shukla, the deceased, had a criminal history and was previously linked to a bank robbery and other incidents, escalating tensions among local criminal factions. The swift action by Patna Police and DIU has garnered praise and is viewed as a crucial step in combating organized crime in the capital.
