Pep Munoz made significant changes to the Bengaluru FC lineup, with Rahul Bheke as captain and Namgyal Bhutia and Suresh Wangjam returning. Sunil Chhetri started on the bench, allowing Ryan Williams to lead the attack. Despite early threats from Jamshedpur FC, Bengaluru took the lead with a goal from Williams before halftime.

In the second half, Jamshedpur FC intensified their efforts but Gurpreet Singh Sandhu’s saves kept Bengaluru ahead. Sunil Chhetri’s record-breaking appearance added to the historic match, with Bengaluru securing a hard-fought victory. The defense held strong against Jamshedpur’s late attacks, ensuring Munoz’s first ISL win was memorable.
