PIB Fact Check clarified that a message circulating on social media about India Post offering ‘Dak Seva Gifts’ is false. The Fact-check team emphasized that India Post has no association with any such gift offers, reward schemes, or lucky draws. They cautioned against clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal information like bank details or Aadhaar number.
The government had previously cautioned the public about a fraudulent investment scheme falsely linked to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. PIB’s fact-checking unit exposed the deceptive “Quantum AI” investment platform circulating online. The scheme promised a monthly income of Rs 3 lakh with an initial investment of Rs 22,000, a claim labeled as fake by the government.
FM Sitharaman affirmed that neither she nor the Government of India endorses such investment platforms or schemes. The PIB Fact Check unit advised vigilance against dubious investment links promising high returns, warning that such schemes aim to defraud individuals and lead to financial losses.
