The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check dismissed claims of a NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak before the re-examination. A viral video alleging the leak on Telegram was labeled as fake and misleading by the PIB. The agency clarified that reports of the paper leak were unfounded and false.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) also refuted the claims, stating that the video in question was fabricated and baseless. NTA emphasized that the NEET-UG 2026 examination was conducted successfully with stringent security measures in place. Creating and spreading such misinformation was warned against as a serious offense.
NTA urged students and the public to rely only on official NEET and NTA platforms for accurate information. Over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination across numerous centers in India and abroad. Following previous controversies, the NTA ensured a smooth conduct of the re-test with enhanced security protocols.
