During his visit, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora in Jakarta, where various cultural showcases were presented. He expressed being deeply touched by the special gesture of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. This visit marks PM Modi’s first bilateral visit to Jakarta since the elevation of ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2018, aiming to strengthen the close ties between India and Indonesia.
Fighter jets from the Indonesian Air Force accompanied PM Modi’s plane upon entering Indonesian airspace. The visit, scheduled from July 6-8, aims to deepen the multifaceted partnership between India and Indonesia.
