As India marks its 77th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed warm wishes to the country, hoping that the occasion would inspire citizens and reinforce the commitment to building a prosperous India. Emphasizing the significance of the day, PM Modi highlighted Republic Day as a symbol of India’s freedom, Constitution, and democratic values, urging unity in the journey of nation-building.
In a separate message, PM Modi extended best wishes on Republic Day, calling for renewed vigor in the collective effort to develop a progressive India. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took to social media to greet the people of the state, underlining the constitutional values of liberty, equality, justice, and fraternity as foundational to democracy.
CM Yogi encouraged the youth to actively engage in the state’s progress, urging them to uphold constitutional ideals and contribute to shaping a new Uttar Pradesh. Republic Day, observed annually on January 26, commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950, signifying the country’s establishment as a sovereign democratic republic based on principles of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity.
The Republic Day celebrations will include a parade featuring 30 tableaux representing India’s cultural diversity and developmental strides, along with cultural performances and a special presentation by the Indian Army known as the “Battle Array.”
