Nominated Rajya Sabha member and Kerala BJP vice president C. Sadanandan Master received a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi praising his remarks during the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address. Master, a former school teacher and RSS functionary, drew attention by placing his prosthetic limbs on the table during his speech. He accused the CPI(M) of past violence and double standards in his address.
PM Modi lauded Master’s composure and moral strength during the speech, encouraging him to continue enriching Parliamentary proceedings. The Prime Minister highlighted Master’s resilience and commitment to public life, acknowledging the emotional impact of displaying his prosthetic limbs. Referring to Master’s concerns about Kerala’s political scenario, PM Modi emphasized patriotism and pride in culture as integral to Master’s personality.
Expressing gratitude for Modi’s appreciation, Master shared his sense of purpose and service. During his speech, Master recounted a violent attack he survived 31 years ago, where assailants severed both his legs. He cited the incident as an example of political violence in Kerala, leading to high drama in the Rajya Sabha.
