The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, highlighted the visit’s focus on fostering collaboration and reinforcing the strong bonds between India and Australia. Discussions during the visit ranged from strategic defense cooperation and economic engagements to education, sports, and community connections, paving the way for deeper ties between the two nations. The leaders also participated in the Australia-India CEO Forum and reviewed progress across various sectors during the third Australia-India Annual Summit.
During his visit, PM Modi met with Australian Opposition Leader Angus Taylor to discuss the growing strength of bilateral relations and the future opportunities for cooperation. The Summit witnessed the finalization of multiple MoUs covering defense, maritime security, energy, critical technology, education, and skilling, among other areas. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open, inclusive, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, underscoring the shared vision for regional and global developments.
