Lahiri, a former Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Representing Balurghat in the Bengal Assembly, Lahiri’s career includes roles at prestigious institutions like the Delhi School of Economics, the Asian Development Bank, and the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. With a global perspective gained from working with organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Lahiri is recognized for his academic and policy-related contributions, having studied at Presidency University, Kolkata.
