Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Opposition for engaging in what he termed as “toxic politics” during a speech in Meerut. He contrasted this with the BJP’s focus on India’s development and commitment to ‘Aatmabirbharta’ (self-reliance). PM Modi made these remarks while inaugurating development projects worth approximately Rs 12,930 crore in Meerut.

Addressing a large public gathering in Meerut, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the newly launched Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat train. He emphasized the role of these projects in enhancing connectivity and urban mobility in the National Capital Region (NCR). The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that these initiatives were realized in Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi credited the success of these projects to the “BJP’s double-engine government” and its commitment to completing tasks efficiently. He commended the work culture of the party, which prioritizes project completion without disruptions. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the support of the people in enabling the inauguration of these projects.

During his metro ride to Meerut South Station, PM Modi interacted with passengers who expressed astonishment at the scale of the development projects. He highlighted the improved law and order situation and enhanced travel safety due to these initiatives. PM Modi praised the involvement of women in operating the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, emphasizing the empowerment of ‘Nari Shakti’.
