Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini engaged in discussions covering various topics during their meeting at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. PM Modi highlighted the potential for enhanced collaboration in manufacturing, transport, innovation, investment linkages, energy, biofuels, and digital technology. The leaders also emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections.
The meeting included talks at the delegation level, with the presence of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Both sides acknowledged the increasing partnership between India and Slovakia, particularly in areas such as digitalization, innovation, defense, space, nuclear energy, and education. The focus was on expanding cooperation across diverse sectors to further enhance the warm relations between the two countries.
PM Modi and President Pellegrini exchanged gifts and visited a painting exhibition as part of their interactions. In preparation for the International Day of Yoga on June 21, a Yoga camp was organized at the Presidential Palace of Slovakia, where Slovakian youth participated in Yoga activities in the presence of both leaders. President Pellegrini commended PM Modi on his status as India’s longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of public trust and years of dedicated service to the nation.
