Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his recent Mann Ki Baat episode, highlighted the significance of utilizing the energy of India’s youth for nation-building. He stressed the role of initiatives like Mera Yuva Bharat in channeling the potential of the country’s young population. Modi emphasized that engaging the youth in nation-building is crucial as India is the world’s youngest nation.
Mera Yuva Bharat, an organization connecting young individuals across India with constructive activities, has been instrumental in fostering positive developments. The Prime Minister mentioned that the organization recently conducted a “Budget Quest” to involve youth in the Union Budget process and policymaking. Over 12 lakh young participants from various regions participated in the quiz, with approximately 1.6 lakh shortlisted for an essay competition.
PM Modi appreciated the enthusiasm of the youth in contributing to the nation’s progress, citing examples of individuals like Kotla Raghuveer Reddy, Saurabh Baiswar, and Sumit Kumar who focused on farmer welfare in their essays. He also acknowledged contributions from Aanchal and Om Prakash Rath advocating for women-led development, and Pratham Barar emphasizing a green and clean India for prosperity. Additionally, Shankh Gupta proposed enhancing efforts to identify sports talent in rural areas.
The Prime Minister commended the young participants for sharing their ideas on skill development, ease of doing business, and other crucial aspects. He emphasized the importance of these ideas in propelling the nation forward through innovation and progress.
