These items showcased India’s rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship.
The Thewa motif cufflinks highlight the traditional jewellery craft of Pratapgarh, featuring intricate designs inspired by nature and symbolism. Himroo silk tie and pocket square set represent the weaving craft of Aurangabad, known for its reversible weave and elegant patterns. The Brass Dokra Antelope Set reflects India’s ancient metal-casting tradition, symbolizing harmony with nature.
The Kashmiri silk carpet, a prestigious hand-knotted craft from Srinagar, displayed India’s intricate handwoven artistry. Additionally, traditional delicacies like Thekua and ancient Ayurvedic texts were part of the gifts. Thekua, a sweet snack from Bihar and Jharkhand, and Ayurvedic texts Susruta Samhita and Charak Samhita were presented, showcasing India’s culinary and medical heritage.
The Susruta Samhita is an ancient Ayurvedic text focusing on surgery and medical treatments. It describes advanced surgical techniques and broader healthcare aspects, reflecting India’s early medical advancements. The Charak Samhita, another ancient Indian medical text, provides a scholarly understanding of health and disease, symbolizing India’s rich scientific heritage.
