He credited the collaboration between the NDA government and the state administration for Tripura’s progress over the past eight years.
Several development initiatives and central government schemes have contributed to enhancing the Ease of Living in Tripura, with a focus on physical and social infrastructure. The recent approval of new components under Special Development Packages is set to benefit tribal communities significantly. The inauguration of a new integrated terminal at Agartala’s airport in 2022 has further boosted connectivity and commerce in the region.
PM Modi praised Tripura’s economic growth and reforms, highlighting the state’s efforts to attract investments and create opportunities for the youth. He lauded Tripura farmers for their environmental consciousness and successful implementation of schemes like PM-KUSUM. The state’s support for weavers, mulberry growers, and pineapple farmers is strengthening livelihoods and fostering long-term growth.
The Prime Minister acknowledged Tripura’s transition from unrest to peace, citing the 2024 Peace Accord with insurgent groups as a significant step towards stability. He commended the state’s rejection of retrograde ideologies and its commitment to progress. Modi also referenced his visit to Tripura in 2025, where he reviewed ongoing development projects and offered prayers at a local temple.
