The World Yogasana Championship, hosting over 400 athletes from various continents, marks a significant step in expanding yoga beyond wellness to establish Yogasana as a competitive sport on a global scale.
The championship in Ahmedabad is viewed as a crucial milestone in broadening the reach of yoga and formalizing Yogasana as a recognized competitive discipline. With standardized judging criteria and competition formats introduced, the event aims to create an internationally accepted framework for Yogasana as a sport.
