The leaders focused on various aspects of the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including trade, defense, maritime cooperation, and cultural exchanges. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
During the meeting, several bilateral agreements were exchanged between the two nations, covering areas such as maritime safety, space cooperation, defense, and healthcare. These agreements aim to enhance cooperation across key sectors and further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. President Subianto also honored PM Modi with Indonesia’s highest civilian and military medal of honor, the ‘Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia.’
The award recognizes PM Modi’s efforts in strengthening the friendship between India and Indonesia and promoting unity and prosperity. PM Modi expressed his gratitude and dedicated the honor to the people of India and the enduring bond between the two countries. The visit marked PM Modi’s fourth to Indonesia and the first bilateral visit since the elevation of ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
