Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded a busy day by hosting a banquet for dignitaries attending the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. Throughout the day, PM Modi engaged in nine bilateral meetings with leaders from Spain, Finland, Serbia, Croatia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Bhutan, the CEO of Google, and the co-founder of Sun Microsystems. The informal interactions extended into the evening during the official banquet at Bharat Mandapam.
On the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit, PM Modi met with various global leaders, including Pedro Sanchez of Spain, Petteri Orpo of Finland, Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, Andrej Plenkovic of Croatia, Alar Karis of Estonia, Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, and Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. Additionally, he had discussions with Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Sun Microsystems’ founder Vinod Khosla at the Hyderabad House.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 will kick off with an opening ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, where PM Modi and other leaders will be joined by the President of France, the UN Secretary-General, and industry leaders. Following this, they will visit the India AI Impact Expo 2026 and participate in various activities, including the Leaders’ Plenary and a CEO roundtable to discuss AI-related topics. The summit’s theme, ‘welfare for all, happiness of all,’ aims to position India as an AI leader and promote inclusive growth and environmental sustainability.
