Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Samajwadi Party and Congress for hindering the progress of the Noida International Airport. He praised the BJP government for transforming Noida into a key driver of Uttar Pradesh’s development.
During the inauguration of Phase 1 of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, PM Modi highlighted the positive impact of the BJP government. He emphasized the airport as a prime example of the efficiency of a government with dual engines.
PM Modi recalled the delayed construction of the airport, which was initially approved in 2003 during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He noted the prolonged delays during the Congress-led central government and the initial years of the Samajwadi Party rule in Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister credited the BJP-led governments at the state and central levels for kickstarting and completing the Jewar Airport project. He also addressed the ‘Noida Jinx,’ a superstition that had previously deterred leaders from visiting the city.
