Additionally, Modi informed the Lok Sabha about India’s strategic petroleum reserves, standing at over 53 lakh metric tonnes, with plans underway to expand this to 65 lakh metric tonnes, reflecting a strategic energy security approach that has diversified energy imports significantly over the past decade.
