Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted Ahmedabad’s recent mass tree-planting drive during the 136th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat.’ The drive in Bhadaj area set a world record by planting over 3.5 lakh saplings in just one hour through collective public participation. PM Modi praised the public’s enthusiasm and urged citizens to contribute to environmental conservation.
The program was screened at the Mahakaleshwar Temple Hall in Gandhinagar, where Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel watched alongside citizens and youth workers. CM Patel, before the screening, offered prayers at the temple. PM Modi lauded the diverse participation in the campaign, including school students, NCC cadets, and volunteers, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in protecting nature.
In his address, PM Modi encouraged every citizen to plant a tree for a cleaner, greener future. He also paid tribute to the Indian Armed Forces on ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ and highlighted India’s strides towards self-reliance in the defense sector. The Prime Minister commended the achievements of young Indians in various fields, underscoring their contributions to the nation’s progress.
