During the welcome event, PM Modi enjoyed performances such as the Australian-India Orchestra’s rendition of ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’. He praised the orchestra’s presentation, highlighting the role of music in strengthening the ties between nations. Additionally, a unique musical performance featuring Australia’s Didgeridoo and India’s Tabla showcased the cultural harmony between the two countries.
PM Modi was delighted to witness a Kathak performance during the community reception in Melbourne. He expressed his pleasure at the growing popularity of Indian dances across Australia. The Prime Minister also mentioned his anticipation for discussions with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to enhance the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
PM Modi is set to co-chair the 3rd Annual Summit with PM Albanese and engage with various stakeholders to deepen bilateral ties. The visit includes participation in the India-Australia CEOs Forum and addressing the Indian diaspora in Melbourne. Australian Prime Minister Albanese emphasized the significance of India as a key economic partner for Australia, underscoring the importance of their strategic relationship.
