Italian PM Meloni warmly welcomed Modi to Italy, emphasizing the strong bond between them.
During his official visit, PM Modi is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with PM Meloni and meet President Sergio Mattarella. The visit aims to solidify ties between India and Italy, with both leaders expected to sign a joint declaration at the historic Villa Doria Pamphili to deepen their strategic partnership.
The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the significance of the visit, noting the existing strong partnership between India and Italy. The leaders are set to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, defense, clean energy, innovation, and technology, as well as promote people-to-people exchanges, in line with the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029.
