PM Modi Thanks Qatar’s Amir for Condolences on Indian Nationals’ Deaths

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, for his condolences following the tragic accident at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar. PM Modi conveyed appreciation for the support and shared grief with the families affected by the loss of Indian lives. India and Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of their citizens and standing in solidarity with each other.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is actively engaged in coordinating with local authorities to identify and repatriate the bodies of the 12 Indian nationals who lost their lives in the explosion at Ras Laffan Industrial City. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed the unfortunate deaths of 12 Indian nationals and provided updates on the total number of injuries across different nationalities, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of all affected individuals.

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar expressed profound sadness over the casualties, including those involving Indian nationals, in the recent explosion at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar. The EAM extended condolences to the families of the victims and assured continued support and assistance through the Indian Embassy in Qatar. As investigations progress, the Indian authorities remain in close contact with their Qatari counterparts to provide necessary aid and support to those impacted by the tragic incident.
