Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly-appointed youth in various government departments and organizations during the 19th Rozgar Mela. The distribution of letters will be conducted through video-conferencing, with PM Modi also scheduled to address the gathering.
The Rozgar Mela, in line with the Prime Minister’s focus on employment generation, is a significant initiative aimed at realizing this vision. Over 12 lakh recruitment letters have been issued through 18 Rozgar Melas held nationwide since its inception.
The 19th Rozgar Mela will take place at 47 locations across the country, where newly recruited candidates from all regions of India will join different Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. These include the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others.
During the 18th Rozgar Mela in January, PM Modi stressed the government’s commitment to connecting youth with skills and providing them with employment and self-employment opportunities. He highlighted the mission-oriented approach of the Rozgar Mela in facilitating government recruitments.
PM Modi emphasized the government’s efforts to create new opportunities for India’s youth, both domestically and globally. He mentioned the country’s engagement in trade and mobility agreements with various nations, opening up numerous prospects for young Indians. Additionally, he noted the significant investments in modern infrastructure, leading to increased employment in construction-related sectors.
