Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) on Thursday at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi. The event, chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, will see the participation of 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers from 42 Commonwealth countries, along with delegates from four semi-autonomous parliaments globally.
The conference aims to discuss various contemporary parliamentary issues, emphasizing the role of Speakers and Presiding Officers in upholding strong democratic institutions.
