Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate significant development projects in Telangana, including the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district and the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal. These projects, collectively valued at around Rs 9,377 crore, aim to enhance connectivity, logistics efficiency, safety, and travel experience for passengers. The event, attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, central ministers, state ministers, and top officials, will take place at HICC, Cyberabad.
The Zaheerabad Industrial Area, a part of the Hyderabad–Nagpur Industrial Corridor, spans 3,245 acres with a total cost exceeding Rs 2,360 crore. Strategically located along National Highway-65, it is designed to offer seamless multimodal connectivity to major cities, ports, rail networks, and airports. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, the industrial area is expected to attract investments of about Rs 10,000 crore and provide employment for approximately 1.74 lakh individuals.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, also known as the PM MITRA Park, in Warangal. Developed under the PM MITRA Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 1,700 crore, this textile park is India’s first fully functional PM MITRA Park. It is poised to boost textile manufacturing in Telangana and position India as a global leader in the textile market, generating over 24,400 jobs once fully operational.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for the four-laning of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor, with a total project cost exceeding Rs 3,175 crore. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka, facilitating industrial development in both states. The Prime Minister will also dedicate key railway infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 1,535 crore, including sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada multi-tracking project covering 118 km.
