Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam on February 14 for a busy day of events. He will start the day by landing at the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) in Dibrugarh, the first of its kind in the Northeast, crucial for emergency response. Following this, PM Modi will inaugurate various development projects at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, including the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu over the Brahmaputra River to enhance connectivity.
In addition to these, the Prime Minister will also launch significant initiatives such as a National Data Centre for the North Eastern Region to boost digital infrastructure and introduce 225 electric buses under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme, aiming to modernize urban transport sustainably. Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Guwahati, aiming to strengthen educational infrastructure and attract students nationwide.
Later in the day, PM Modi will address BJP workers in Guwahati, highlighting the government’s efforts in Assam over the past decade. He expressed confidence in the upcoming elections, hoping for continued support from the people of Assam for the BJP-NDA alliance.
