Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for projects totaling Rs 7,823 crore during his upcoming visit to Hyderabad on May 10.
This visit marks PM Modi’s first to Telangana since assuming office for the third time. The Prime Minister will address a public gathering at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, unveiling various development initiatives, including railway and highway projects.
Among the projects to be launched, PM Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone for national highway projects worth approximately Rs 3,175 crore in the Mahabubnagar region. Additionally, he will inaugurate the third railway line between Kazipet and Vijayawada, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,243 crore.
PM Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate Hafeezpet and Jogulamba railway stations, with ongoing railway projects in Telangana amounting to Rs 85,000 crore. The Prime Minister will extend Multi-Modal Transport System train services from Hyderabad to Yadagirigutta.
The upcoming projects include the establishment of a terminal for petroleum product production. Kishan Reddy emphasized the Centre’s commitment to Telangana’s progress, highlighting the development of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal.
