On the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Lucknow. He will inaugurate the ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ at 2:30 p.m. and address a public gathering. The excitement and preparations for this event are at a peak in Lucknow.
The ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ serves as a grand national memorial, constructed at a cost of around Rs 230 crore and spanning 65 acres. It aims to preserve the legacy of great leaders, promoting values of leadership, national service, cultural awareness, and public inspiration. This site is envisioned as a lasting national heritage for future generations.
A major highlight of the complex is the installation of 65-foot-tall bronze statues of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These statues represent the significant contributions of these leaders to Indian politics, ideology, and nation-building. Additionally, the complex includes a state-of-the-art lotus-shaped museum covering nearly 98,000 square feet, showcasing the national journey and the lives of these visionary leaders.
Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Secretary Vivek Srivastava mentioned that the memorial, developed by LDA, is almost ready for the inauguration ceremony. Local residents are eagerly anticipating the Prime Minister’s visit and the inauguration. They express pride in the transformation of the area under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, making it a prominent locality.
