Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Indonesia from July 6 to July 8 at the invitation of President Prabowo Subianto. This visit marks his fourth to Indonesia and the first bilateral visit since the India-Indonesia ties were elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in May 2018. During the trip, PM Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with President Prabowo and assess the progress in their partnership. Additionally, he will address a significant gathering of the Indian diaspora in Jakarta.
Following his Indonesia visit, PM Modi will travel to Melbourne from July 8 to 10, upon the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. During this period, he will conduct bilateral discussions with Albanese and meet with the Governor General of Australia, Sam Mostyn. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to participate in the India-Australia CEOs Forum, where he will speak to top business leaders from both nations. Moreover, PM Modi will address a large Indian diaspora gathering in Melbourne.
Subsequently, at the invitation of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, PM Modi will embark on a State Visit to Auckland from July 10 to 11. This visit holds historical significance as it marks the first State Visit by an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in forty years. In Auckland, PM Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Luxon, focusing on various aspects of the bilateral relationship, particularly advancements in trade, commerce, and defense over the past two years. The Prime Minister will also have interactions with notable business and sports figures and address the Indian diaspora in Auckland, highlighting the strong people-to-people connections between India and New Zealand.
