Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a campaign rally in Panihati, North 24 Parganas district, promised to hold all involved in the R.G. Kar rape and murder case accountable once the BJP government is established in West Bengal next month. The victim’s mother, Swapna Debnath, is the BJP candidate from Panihati, where the incident occurred. Modi emphasized that the upcoming election would empower Bengal’s women to challenge the ruling party.
The Prime Minister assured that those responsible for the conspiracy behind the crime would not escape justice. He highlighted the struggles of the victim’s mother to educate her daughter, who tragically fell victim to the misrule of the Trinamool Congress. Modi expressed confidence in the electorate’s response to the polls, noting the Trinamool Congress’s desperation in the face of shifting voting patterns.
Modi criticized the Trinamool Congress for failing to address unemployment and creating an unfavorable investment climate in the state. He warned that without change, job opportunities would remain scarce, and existing industries might relocate. The Prime Minister accused the ruling party of hindering economic growth during its 15-year tenure in West Bengal.
