Mohan Yadav, born in 1965 in Ujjain, holds degrees in various fields including Law, Arts, Business Administration, and Philosophy from Ujjain University. His political journey began with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, leading to his successful entry into electoral politics in 2013.
Yadav won the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections in 2013 and 2018 from the Ujjain South constituency, securing significant margins of victory. He later served as the state’s Higher Education Minister in the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan until 2023.
In the 2023 elections, Yadav triumphed once again from the Ujjain South constituency and was appointed as the 19th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh by the BJP on December 11, 2023, marking a milestone in his political career.
