The Prime Minister informed that Parliament is set to convene on April 16 to discuss a crucial constitutional amendment related to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. He expressed enthusiasm for the support shown towards this initiative by women across the nation. PM Modi praised the increasing involvement of women in various sectors, citing their significant contributions as a positive development in recent times.
PM Modi acknowledged the remarkable progress of women in fields like StartUps, science, innovation, academics, literature, art, music, cinema, dance, heritage, and sports. He commended grassroots efforts such as Self-Help Groups and the emergence of “Lakhpati Didis” for promoting self-reliance and women empowerment. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of enhancing women’s participation in legislative bodies, considering their success in diverse domains.
