Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned an open letter to the people of West Bengal on the occasion of the Bengal New Year, calling for an end to the atmosphere of fear prevailing in the state during the Trinamool Congress regime. In the letter, PM Modi expressed concern over the impact of misrule, chaos, and corruption on the citizens’ fundamental rights and culture over the past 15 years.
While extending greetings in both English and Bengali on social media, PM Modi’s open letter was specifically in Bengali. He criticized the Trinamool Congress government for fostering an environment of fear and promised employment opportunities and women’s safety under a BJP-led government.
PM Modi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to generating employment within West Bengal to prevent youth from seeking jobs in other states. He highlighted the importance of the upcoming Assembly polls as a chance to steer the state towards growth and prosperity, urging voters to make a choice for a better future.
The Prime Minister urged the people of West Bengal to participate fearlessly in the democratic process and support the vision of a ‘Developed West Bengal.’ He expressed confidence in the electorate’s trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party and himself, anticipating a significant victory in the elections.
