Highlighting the Strategic Partnership agreement signed between Poland and India during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Warsaw in 2024, Polish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Wladyslaw Bartoszewski expressed optimism about the growing relationship between the two nations. Bartoszewski emphasized the positive trajectory of the bilateral ties, mentioning the recent Free Trade Agreement signed by India and the European Union, of which Poland is a member.
During a meeting with Ministry of External Affairs’ Secretary (West) Sibi George in New Delhi, Bartoszewski discussed various aspects of cooperation between India and Poland. He highlighted discussions on military cooperation, digital industry collaboration, security matters, IT investments in high technology, space cooperation, and other key areas. Both sides reviewed the India-Poland strategic partnership and the key objectives of the 2024-2028 Action Plan.
Bartoszewski mentioned upcoming visits by Polish officials to India, including the Deputy Minister for Digital Affairs and the Deputy Minister for Development and Technology. He also revealed plans for a visit by the Polish Prime Minister to Delhi later in the year. The discussions between the two nations encompass business, politics, security, and a wide range of cooperation, symbolizing the limitless potential for collaboration.
India and Poland strengthened their bilateral relations to a ‘Strategic Partnership’ level during PM Modi’s visit to Poland in 2024. The two countries also agreed on a five-year Joint Action Plan for 2024-2028.
