Police in Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh, have apprehended Ghanshyam Malviya for the murder of his brother-in-law, Sanjay Malviya, aged 35. The arrest followed Ghanshyam’s confession to killing Sanjay in a dispute over land. Ghanshyam, who resided in Narsinghpur district, had been living at Sanjay’s residence for four years.
A senior police official disclosed that suspicions arose regarding Ghanshyam’s involvement during the investigation. Sanjay’s lifeless body, drenched in blood, was discovered in a rundown house near his home in Kotgaon village, triggering alarm in the vicinity. The police, accompanied by a forensic science team, swiftly responded to the scene to gather evidence. Sanjay, the son of Sukhdev Malviya, worked at a local marriage garden to provide for his family.
The murder weapon, a basula, was retrieved by the authorities, who have arrested Ghanshyam on murder charges. The investigation is ongoing to complete legal procedures and ascertain all details surrounding the crime.
