In a significant breakthrough in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, the police dismantled an illegal MD drug manufacturing unit and seized a large quantity of chemicals and equipment. The operation, led by District Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena, targeted notorious smugglers planning to establish the manufacturing unit in a residential house near the Kharad border. A joint team conducted a raid at the suspected premises based on confidential information.
During the search operation, a large blue drum containing 186 kg and 940 gm of illegal chemical substances used in the production of MD drugs was discovered. Additionally, various equipment and materials related to the manufacturing process were seized from the house. The main accused, Sohanlal Bishnoi, with a history of serious offenses, was identified by police officials.
A case under various sections of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused, including Sohanlal and Surendra, as they were not present during the raid. Police teams are actively conducting search operations to apprehend the absconding accused. The entire action was supervised by Circle Officer Gudamalani Sukharam, with coordinated efforts between the police teams involved in the operation.
