A police head constable at the Telangana Director General of Police’s office reportedly died by suicide after shooting himself with his service weapon. The constable, identified as Swamy, shot himself in a washroom around 5:30 a.m. while on night duty. He left a suicide note taking sole responsibility for his actions and asking his family not to blame his wife or children.

Swamy’s handwritten note mentioned that his family was not to be blamed and warned against troubling them after his death. He expressed that if anyone harassed his family, he would return as a spirit for revenge. Following the incident, the police moved his body to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Swamy had accumulated significant debts due to online betting and loans from multiple sources. The police suspect that these financial burdens led him to take his own life. Swamy, hailing from Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, had been working at the DGP office since July 2.

In a separate incident, a man in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district, along with his family, threatened suicide over a pathway dispute. Bhagya Raj, accompanied by his wife and children, recorded a video on a railway track in Kadiri town, alleging that the access to his house in Kamatampalli village had been blocked by local authorities. He appealed to several political figures to intervene and resolve the issue.
