Police in Jammu district conducted a Cordon and Search Operation in Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar, leading to the questioning of 18 suspects linked to alleged ganja peddling. The operation aimed to disrupt drug networks and anti-social elements in the area. The SP South Zone, Jammu, spearheaded the operation with the active involvement of South Zone Police personnel.

In Reasi district, a Subsidiary Multi-Agency Centre (SMAC) meeting was held to discuss security measures for the upcoming pilgrimages, including Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Senior officers from various security agencies attended the meeting to review preparedness for ensuring safe pilgrimage routes and locations. Discussions covered law and order management, counter-terrorism measures, and intelligence-led operations.

SSP Reasi emphasized the need to strengthen security along pilgrimage routes and vital installations. He directed agencies to conduct mock drills, enhance area domination near religious sites, and engage with residents of fringe villages. The SSP also stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance, inter-agency coordination, and intelligence sharing to ensure the safety of pilgrims and prevent any security threats.
