Police in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, successfully intercepted the movement of weapons and seized arms and ammunition. During a joint operation with 52 Rashtriya Rifles, they discovered an illegal foreign-made pistol at a Mobile Vehicle Checking Point in Chandsuma, Kanispora.

A white car traveling from Srinagar to Baramulla was stopped for inspection, revealing a Turkish-manufactured pistol, CANIK TP9SF METE (9×19 mm), in the possession of a passenger without proper authorization. The individual, identified as Wakeel Ahmed Theekri, was taken into custody, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the source and intended use of the weapon.

Subsequent search operations led to the recovery of a Chinese-made pistol, two magazines, and 13 live rounds of ammunition in Kalsi Hardu, Kamalkot. This significant seizure indicates a broader network involved in unlawful arms possession, prompting ongoing investigations to identify additional individuals linked to these activities.
