A police officer, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar, sustained serious injuries while attempting to arrest a liquor mafia member in Bhadaur village, Patna district, Bihar. The incident occurred when the officer fell from a house roof during the operation. The police team had gone to Bhadaur village to apprehend a wanted individual linked to a liquor-related case.

The officers, including ASI Sanjay Kumar, climbed onto the roof of the suspect’s house to prevent potential escape. Unfortunately, in the darkness, ASI Sanjay Kumar slipped and fell from the balcony to the ground, causing panic among the raiding team. Following the accident, the search was halted, and the injured officer was promptly taken to Barh Sub-Divisional Hospital for medical attention.

ASI Sanjay Kumar suffered severe injuries to his left leg and waist, as confirmed by doctors. He was later transferred to Patna Medical College and Hospital for further treatment. Despite the officer’s injuries and the escape of the accused, the police remain committed to their crackdown on the liquor mafia in Bihar. The authorities continue to conduct raids against illicit liquor activities in the state, with ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend the absconding suspect.
